Vårscenefest i UTROPIA

http://www.utropia.no/?p=10053

The motif of this year’s Vårscenefest is the role of the audience. Bernt Bjørn, one of the festival’s organizers, says that after the success last year the only reasonable thing to do was to repeat it. In a greater style, that is.
-Before Vårscenefest, Northern Norway did not have this kind of festival and RadArt wanted to fill that gap, says Bernt.
What Vårscenefest is offering should satisfy even the most demanding audience. This year’s festival is focused on Finland, which is why among the artists you can find a performance artist from Helsinki, Pilvi Porkola. She came to Tromsø as a resident artist and will stay until the end of the month.
Topics at the festival are very varied. One of the most involving performances might be Brain Wave Music Therapy, which  involves the use of  brain waves to create music. A more challenging and provoking project is In Human Disguise, a Finnish show about humanity, involving naked perforers.
The festival starts on 28th April in various venues around the city. If you want to know more visit radart.no. Utropia will do their best to cover most of the arrangements; visit our online version (utropia.no) for updated reviews on  the festival.
